In 2020, I’ve collaborated with some great people in order to spread positive messages on creativity, well-being and resilience to a wider audience.
I was asked by Suzy Walker, Editor-in-Chief of my favourite Psychologies Magazine, to do a Facebook Live interview with her about how creativity had helped me through the chemo journey whilst also during lockdown due to the pandemic. I had a lovely chat with her, a firm believer in creativity for well-being herself, which then lead to her asking me to do some regular sessions on creativity, below.
INSTAGRAM LIVES WITH PSYCHOLOGIES MAGAZINE
Below are the links to the ‘Gain Creative Confidence’ sessions I’ve had the pleasure of doing with @psychologiesmagazine, weekly at the start and now monthly. These sessions have been all about using tools and techniques to set your creativity free and have included creative challenges too, so if you’re not sure exactly what you’d like to do, these sessions give you prompts to work with. Why not give it a try?
Using your senses to inspire a theme to work on, and a challenge all about trees
Sourcing other areas of inspiration such as books, groups and most importantly having adventures and being observant
Finding different ways to release your inner artist using anything and everything from around the house!
Today we are talking all about pets and animals, how they can inspire great creative writing stories! We all have some connection to animals whether that be pets or wild, and we will all have a story around them
Today we are talking about planning time in to reap the benefits of doing something creative, from making a self care creative list to treating it as seriously as you would that session at the gym PLUS a creative task to help keep you motivated
Today I’ve been talking about perfectionism and how it can steal the joy of creativity, and how not to let it!
Session 7 was all about colour and linking colour to planning too, with plenty of tasks included
Today was all about how to get your creative mojo back after the crazy last few weeks that may have left you feeling stuck! Well that’s how it was for me and so I sought out some self-care solutions to get it back, which I share with you here, and set you a chunky creative task to encourage you to acknowledge what brings you joy and celebrate it in a unique way
Today’s session was all about sinking into the Autumn season and using it as creative inspiration to switch things up in your home, on the menu and with your creative hobbies. I shared lots of ideas and challenged you to pick one a week to do to benefit from the increased well-being it brings
Today was all about planning for Christmas, how to make it special and personal in your home and when creating gifts for friends and family, to show you care
Interview with Lesley Ellis of The Midlife Manifesto
My interview with Lesley was all about not letting your past hold you back or determine your future path. You can listen to it here.
Interview with Eleanor Snare Podcast
I had a great, in-depth chat with Eleanor Snare all about Connection, for the forthcoming launch of her podcast, date tbc, but in the meantime you can find it on YouTube here….
My most recent interview was with the Two Northern Lasses, about my previous corporate career, the work I do now, my love of nature and resilience, you can find that here.
I also guest-hosted for them back in the Spring, so that they could tell their story all about setting up the podcast and the direction they wanted to take it in. If you’ve ever fancied setting up a podcast and want to know more about it, you can find that here
WORK WITH ME
I love having deep conversations about creativity, well-being, positive mindset and resilience including getting through chemo during a pandemic!
I see sharing personal stories as a way to help and inspire people to share and own theirs, so we can all learn from each other and talk about real, important issues that need a diverse range of voices.
If you would like to connect or collaborate, please get in touch via the form below or via DM on Instagram , thank you.
